Spreading love…

In addition to having threatening rhino-like horns and thick exoskeletons, rhinoceros beetles are the strongest animals on the planet, able to lift up to 850x their body weight. That’s the equivalent of a human lifting thirty actual rhinos at once.

But despite their fierce appearance, rhino beetles are completely harmless. In fact, a type of lotus in the Ivory Coast has evolved to attract a species of rhino beetle which pollinates the plant by copulating in its flowers.

Pollinators may have fierce defense mechanisms, but at their core, they are motivated by love.

How might your desire to protect yourself be getting in the way of the loving impact you could have?
